Hyun Woo (Corey) Shin is a founding partner at Bridgeway IP Law Group, PLLC.  Mr. Shin's studies and practice involve a wide spectrum of technical fields, including biochemistry, material science, mechanical, and electronical technologies.  Mr. Shin's patent practice focuses on patent prosecution, including client counseling, application drafting, patent procurement, and managing patent portfolios.  He also has experience in providing patent opinion works, conducting technology transfers and IP licensing.

Mr. Shin also has extensive knowledge and experience regarding design patent practice in U.S., as well as in foreign countries. His experience in design patents include formulating design patent strategies for filing and prosecution, managing design patent portfolios, and providing design patent validity and infringement opinions.  He has filed and procured over 500 design patents for clients.

Mr. Shin also prepares and prosecutes U.S. trademark applications, including extensions of protection of International Registrations to the U.S., and counsels clients on proper trademark marking and usage.  He drafts and negotiates licenses and intellectual property arrangements.

Mr. Shin obtained his J.D. cum laude from the Liberty University School of Law, and was admitted to the bar of Virginia in October of 2011. Mr. Shin received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2007.
